Reducing the harm caused by alcohol

Home > What we do > Reducing the harm caused by alcohol

We are working together to help people who drink too much to change their drinking patterns so they improve their physical and mental health. We help to make night-time social activities safer and help people to drink sensibly so they do not become a victim of crime.

We try to prevent young people under 18 from getting access to alcohol, and help those who are at most risk from drinking too much alcohol.

We are also developing ways of helping and supporting families who are affected by alcohol dependency.

To find out more about how we are reducing the harm caused by alcohol, see the East Sussex Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy 2009-2012 (PFD, 707Kb)
